{"id":6997,"date":"2026-01-04T13:56:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T12:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smama.blog\/?p=6997"},"modified":"2026-01-04T13:56:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T12:56:13","slug":"of-a-world-before-humans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smama.blog\/en\/of-a-world-before-humans\/","title":{"rendered":"Of a World Before Humans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"175\"><strong data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"52\">The first published story by nine-year-old Sofia<\/strong> \u2013 a short, thoughtful tale about the relationship between humans and animals, about power, responsibility, and compassion.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"177\" data-end=\"265\">Once upon a time, before our time, dinosaurs still existed, and <strong>they all lived in peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"267\" data-end=\"343\">There were carnivores, but they only ate others when those had already died.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"345\" data-end=\"372\">Carnivores also ate plants.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"374\" data-end=\"469\">But then, when the first humans arrived, everything changed, because humans did not want peace.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"471\" data-end=\"494\">And they began to hunt.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"547\">They hunted everything that came before their eyes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"627\">The dinosaurs that were small were lucky, because they could run away quickly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"681\"><strong>And soon, humans had gained dominion over the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"681\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/smama_blog\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6998 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/smama.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PXL_20251104_112453020.MP-EDIT-min-902x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"902\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"832\">They cut down trees everywhere and built houses (whatever those were, they lived in them), and some houses were small, but some were big (super big).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"913\">We, the surviving dinosaurs, hid on an island that humans had not yet explored.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"1020\">But when humans invented airplanes (flying machines that people could fit into), they found us dinosaurs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1130\">They locked us in cages and then brought us to a zoo (a big cage with other animals, and people look at us).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1179\">There we were unhappy, but we could not escape.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1224\">We stayed there until the end of our lives\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1226\" data-end=\"1346\">This is how humans still treat animals today.
